Even legitimate appearing ISPs can be bad

This article showed up on slashdot today:

It looks like you can't even trust what appears to be a legitimate ISP. The really scary part is the DNS hijacking since lots of people trust their ISP.

    It can be a little nerve wracking . . . You just never really know what goes on beyond your personal network.

    What security measures should be taken to prevent normal users from falling victim to such malicious bodies?

    That is a good question. I wonder if my Norton security would catch it.
